‘Live’ is the ignition of the artist performing in the present moment

For Stilllive, this collaboration with WINDMILL offers a valuable opportunity to try out the ideas and methods of performance we have carried forward within a different cultural and practical terrain. Without a fixed membership, Stilllive has long approached performance as an "open process" shaped by interests and questions each artist brings into the room.

In this collaboration, artists from Japan and Korea will gather in the same space and accumulate their movements emerging from respective research and making processes to reveal moments where individuality and the unexpected encounters of collaboration. This work is also an experiment in embracing the multilayered manifestations of performance as they arise-irreducible to a single directorial vision or language.

Through this attempt, we look toward more expansive approaches to performance and forms of curation, and toward creating a space to reconsider creative methods based on trust and communication among artists across various domains.
